Dallas Tennis Association | DTA

Founded as the Dallas Tennis Patrons Association in the 1930’s, the organization’s name was changed to the Dallas Tennis Association shortly after.  In 2023, the Board of Directors made the decision to modernize the brand and embrace what the organization has become to the community WE SERVE.

We are DALLAS TENNIS.

DALLAS TENNIS is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization serving Dallas' diverse tennis community through a variety of programming. Part of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and home to USTA adult leagues, tournaments, junior team tennis, junior recreation including development and competitive, and adaptive programming in the greater Dallas metropolitan area.

“WE SERVE EVERYONE WINS” best sums up what DALLAS TENNIS is all about! The organization promotes tennis, creates opportunities for people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds to get on court while giving back to the community. DALLAS TENNIS’ efforts to grow the game in Dallas allows the organization to stay focused on its mission to keep the rally going by uniting recreational tennis players with thousands of under-served youths each year.

DALLAS TENNIS Education Academy is the benevolent arm of DALLAS TENNIS.  For more than 40 years, DALLAS TENNIS has supported the Education Academy in its efforts to develop, maintain, and operate charitable programs that serve diverse communities of children ages 4 to 18, including but not limited to, at-risk, financially disadvantaged children and people with disabilities.  Providing 50 weeks of FREE/low-cost programming and 40,000 hours of professional teaching the Education Academy makes sure programs are available to every child with the desire to step on court.

Tennis provides the positive platform that allows the Education Academy to promote education and life skills which ultimately help kids to become the champions of their own game.
