LEAGUES

Adult Leagues

A substantial reason tennis has grown exponentially in our country is due to the structure, organization, and efficiency of the USTA League system. Dallas boasts an impressive 17,000+ adult league registrations fielding approximately 1,100 teams across 11 leagues making it the third largest league program in the United States. Dallas Tennis USTA leagues run year-round.

Womens League Information

The DTA Women’s League is part of the USTA League, the largest adult competitive tennis program in the country. Open to women ages 18 and up, it offers a chance to play organized, competitive tennis, improve skills, and potentially advance to the USTA National Championships. Leagues are structured by age groups (18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over) and skill levels using the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP), ensuring fair and competitive match play. Local winners can progress through district and sectional championships on the path to nationals.

Mens League Information

The DTA Men’s League is part of the USTA League—the largest adult competitive tennis league in the country—designed for men aged 18 and over. It offers a structured and competitive environment for players to sharpen their skills, stay active, and potentially advance to district, sectional, and national championship events. Organized by age group and skill level using the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP), the league ensures fair and balanced match play for everyone from beginners to advanced players. It's a great way to compete, connect, and grow in the game.

Mixed | Combo | Tri-Level Information

DTA also offers USTA Mixed Doubles, Combo, and Tri-Level leagues—fun, flexible formats that bring variety to competitive play. In Mixed Doubles, men and women team up for co-ed doubles matches, with divisions by age and skill level, and the chance to advance to state, sectional, and national championships. Combo Doubles allows players of different NTRP levels to partner up, forming men’s, women’s, or co-ed teams with combined ratings (e.g., 6.5, 7.5, 8.5), encouraging both social connection and spirited competition. Tri-Level leagues feature three same-gender doubles teams per match, each at a different skill level (e.g., 3.5, 4.0, 4.5), making it a unique and strategic format for players to compete within their level while contributing to a team effort.

Players Seeking Teams

Looking to join a USTA league team through DTA? Whether you're new to league play or returning for another season, there are several ways to get started. Players can connect with captains seeking team members, start their own team, or be added to a local “players looking for a team” list. You can find opportunities through your local league coordinator, search for teams on USTA’s TennisLink using the “Find a League” feature, or network at local clinics and social events. New players will need to self-rate to receive an NTRP rating before joining a team. Some USTA sections also offer a “Get Connected” service to match players with open teams—be sure to check your local USTA website for details
